Enhance leadership responsibility, complete socio-economic targets 2013

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of December 10, Comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired a meeting of Secretaries of District, City, Town Party Committees and affiliated Party Committees. Attending were Secretaries of 21 District, City, Town Party Committees, affiliated Party Committees, leaders of Provincial Party Committees and representatives of the Provincial People's Committee.

The summary assessment of the Provincial Party Committee Office shows that, in the past time, districts, cities, towns and departments and branches have made efforts to implement and complete the socio-economic targets of 2013. At the end of 2013, 20/25 targets were achieved and exceeded the plan.

In November and December 2013, the provincial leaders received and worked with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Singapore to Vietnam to introduce the investment environment in Nghe An. The province also organized a working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to exchange experiences in attracting investment and supporting people affected by storms and floods in Binh Dinh and Quang Ngai.

The work of party building and strengthening the grassroots political system has been focused on by districts, cities and towns. At the same time, propaganda has been stepped up and the implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo on Nghe An development until 2020 has been organized. The province has directed districts, cities and towns to grasp the situation and handle violations of the Hoang Thien Long cult. Mass mobilization, inspection, supervision and settlement of citizens' complaints and denunciations have been carried out synchronously. The conclusions related to socio-economic issues in the meeting of secretaries of districts, cities and towns in November have been gradually resolved.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Tran Hong Chau requested the districts to focus on reviewing the year-end workload, strengthening the responsibility of the district Party Committee and People's Committees in handling issues under their authority. In the last month of the year, the districts need to organize well the work of visiting and encouraging families with meritorious services, and deploy plans to ensure security and order. Regarding the recommendations of the districts, the Standing Deputy Secretary assigned the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and branches to coordinate with the districts to resolve them thoroughly, ensuring compliance with principles and laws.
