(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 17, the Central inter-agency working delegation led by comrade Vuong Thua Phong - Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission had a working session with the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on foreign affairs. Receiving and working with the delegation, on the side of our province, there were comrades: Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

In recent times, the Provincial Party Committee has led the People's Committee and departments, branches, sectors and localities to promptly and effectively implement the Party and State's policies and guidelines on foreign affairs. In addition to doing well the Party's foreign affairs in the new situation, implementing Resolution 22-NQ/TW on international integration, innovating and improving the effectiveness of people's foreign affairs, and strengthening the management of delegations going abroad. The province has expanded foreign relations and diversified with other countries. During the year, many delegations led by the provincial leaders visited, worked, promoted potentials and promoted investment with provinces of countries such as Laos, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and cooperated with the United States, Japan, South Korea and the Russian Federation. The province coordinated with agencies and organizations that are focal points for investment promotion such as KOTRA (Korea), JETRO (Japan), the Foreign Investment Agency and other focal points to provide information, mobilize and promote investment in Nghe An. Increase contact with many potential investors from Japan, Korea, EU, India, Australia, etc. multinational companies and corporations operating in Vietnam to call for investment in the fields of high technology, information technology, infrastructure, engineering, tourism, trade, etc. In addition, the province has increased calls for Vietnamese people and Nghe An people abroad to actively contribute to building and protecting the Fatherland.

At the working session, members of the delegation contributed ideas to make the province's foreign affairs more effective in the coming time. Comrade Tran Hong Chau and delegates of Nghe An province also pointed out the advantages, difficulties, and key programs for foreign affairs in the coming time of the province. At the same time, they recommended and proposed to the delegation a number of issues related to the local foreign affairs. That is, there should be training on foreign affairs for the staff doing this work; request the Central Foreign Affairs Commission to act as a bridge for Nghe An to promote investment in socio-economic development; coordinate between the locality and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to manage delegations and non-governmental organizations when they come to Nghe An; cooperate in information management and foreign affairs information orientation; guide and organize district-level foreign affairs activities; support the province with funds for foreign affairs; amend a number of documents flexibly to suit the practical situation of the localities.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Vuong Thua Phong acknowledged and highly appreciated the important contributions of foreign affairs to the socio-economic development of the province. He hoped that in the coming time, the province would promote the potential advantages of the locality to further develop the province. Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the province, the working delegation noted them to report to the Central Foreign Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for consideration and resolution.
