Enhancing the role of supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels

(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of July 23, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to evaluate the results of the Front's work in the first 6 months of the year, and discuss directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2015.

Attending the event were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Provincial People's Council, provincial departments and branches and member organizations under the Provincial Fatherland Front.

Mr. Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

In the first 6 months of 2015, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations have proactively developed and deployed political tasks associated with the implementation of programs and thematic work of the Front, coordinated the implementation of many key and central tasks, contributing to creating social consensus in implementing the policies of the Party and the State. Notably, they proactively proposed and coordinated the development of a plan to summarize 20 years of implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", 15 years of implementing the Campaign "Day for the Poor". Caring for the poor on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2015 has many innovations, creativity and brought good results.

However, the solidarity, gathering and promotion of the role of exemplary people in religions and fields have not met requirements; the work of the Front in preventing corruption, waste and administrative reform has changed slowly; the coordination between the Front and member organizations, especially members of the social sector, is still limited.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai informed the Conference about the socio-economic situation of the province in the first 6 months of the year and some tasks for the last 6 months of 2015.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Vien - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luu district shared his experience in mobilizing parishioners to comply with the policies and guidelines of the Party and State.

In the last 6 months of 2015, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations focused on summarizing 20 years of the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", 15 years of implementing the campaign "Day for the poor"; deploying the action program to implement Conclusion No. 107/KL/TW dated April 10, 2015 of the Central Party Secretariat on continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership in implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"; Strengthening social supervision and criticism, improving the effectiveness of people's inspection boards, community investment supervision boards and grassroots mediation activities; Improve the quality of propaganda and mobilization work for religious dignitaries, officials, parishioners, and ethnic minorities to properly implement the Party and State's policies, guidelines, and laws, and proactively resolve complex religious issues at the grassroots level...
