Enhance the Party's leadership role in the armed forces
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 4, the Provincial Military Party Committee held a preliminary review of 8 years of implementing Resolution 51/NQ-TU of the Politburo.
Attending the conference were Major General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 4; Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Military Party Committees of districts, towns and Vinh city.

After 8 years of implementing Resolution 51 of the Politburo (Term IX) on "Continuing to perfect the Party's leadership mechanism, implementing the one-person command regime associated with implementing the political commissar and political officer regime in the Vietnam People's Army", the Provincial Military Party Committee has closely followed the directives to strengthen the relationship between the political commissar and political officer and the commander. The relationship is defined as coordination of work, equal status, equality, and the highest responsibility to superiors and the Party Committee at one's level for all aspects of activities in the Army.

The Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have implemented many measures to train, create local resources and receive cadres from key units to gradually ensure quantity and improve quality; boldly appoint young cadres with good capacity and responsibility to appropriate positions. From 2006 to 2013, Nghe An Provincial Military Command appointed 119 political commissars, deputy political commissars, political officers, and deputy political officers at all levels. Through 16 training courses, 996 cadres participated. Through this activity, the cadres were equipped with a firm grasp of the principles of conducting Party work and political work in each unit and working team.
At the Conference, many presentations accurately assessed the implementation of Resolution 51 in units and forces, thereby drawing lessons in the leadership of Party committees and effective coordination between political commissars, political officers and military commanders at all levels.
Concluding the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized: After 8 years of implementing Resolution 51, all levels from the province to communes, wards and towns have strengthened the Party's direction on military and national defense work. During that process, building internal solidarity, solidarity and high unity between political commissars and political officers with commanders plays a decisive role in the effectiveness of building strong armed forces at all levels; actively contributing to building solid defense areas. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that military units and military Party Committees at all levels continue to improve and enhance the Party's leadership capacity on military and national defense work; at the same time, constantly improve the theoretical level and comprehensive ability of the team of political commissars and political officers in directing, advising, and closely coordinating with unit commanders to lead the armed forces to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
