Improve the quality of comprehensive education and improve skills for students and workers

(Baonghean) -Continuing the second working day program, this morning, August 13, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee focused on evaluating the results of the education and training sector in the 2010-2011 school year and the key tasks of the 2011-2012 school year; the results after 3 years of implementing the Resolution of the 6th Central Committee (10th tenure) on continuing to build the Vietnamese working class in the period of accelerating the country's industrialization and modernization. Comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee focused on analyzing and clarifying the positive results as well as the weaknesses, limitations and shortcomings of the education and training sector of Nghe An in the 2010-2011 school year. Notably, the sector promptly advised the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee to issue a number of decisions, mechanisms and policies to strengthen management and improve the quality of education and training. The quality of education is increasingly affirmed, especially the quality of the spearhead demonstrated through the number of students winning international and national excellent student awards. Infrastructure continues to be invested and improved. The team of teachers and managers basically meet the requirements of the tasks. However, the education and training sector of Nghe An still has some shortcomings. These are the prolonged surplus of teachers; the exploitation, use and preservation of teaching and learning equipment in some schools is not really effective; State management of non-public education is still inadequate. The issue of school violence is also a matter of concern.

Concluding this content, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Dinh Trac emphasized: There are still many issues that need to be focused on in the education and training sector. In the immediate future, it is necessary to improve the quality of comprehensive education; be more active in solving the problem of surplus teachers, and at the same time pay attention to recruiting good teachers. Actively promote foreign language and information technology teaching for students, have solutions to improve the quality of history teaching, ethics education, and legal knowledge for students. There needs to be a plan to replace managers who are still weak in capacity in some schools. Continue to improve the quality of key education, in which it is necessary to identify a number of key schools to focus on investing in improving the quality of key schools. The sector also needs to calculate a specific roadmap for transferring colleges to universities in the province, in line with the development trend.

Regarding the results after 3 years of implementing the Central Resolution 6 (10th tenure) on continuing to build the Vietnamese working class in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country in Nghe An, after listening to the speeches of the comrades in the Standing Committee, comrade Phan Dinh Trac noted: In the coming time, it is necessary to focus on vocational training, improving skills; knowledge and understanding of the law, and awareness of labor discipline for workers. Pay attention to the legitimate and legal rights of workers, which are labor contracts, social insurance, health insurance, income, housing, employment, and labor safety for workers. Strengthen the leadership of the Party, government and socio-political organizations in implementing the Central Resolution 6 (10th tenure) on building the Vietnamese working class to achieve better results, contributing to building a strong Nghe An working class, actively contributing to the cause of promoting industrialization and modernization of the homeland and the country.
