Speaking to reporters ahead of the NATO Foreign Ministers' meeting, Mr. Stoltenberg stated: "NATO is a strong supporter of arms control to make us safer. We seek dialogue with Russia, and we want to improve relations. However, to make this a reality, Russia needs to fully comply with its international commitments."
NATO Secretary General added that foreign ministers will discuss the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty at this meeting. According to Mr. Stoltenberg, NATO is assessing the situation and will take measures to ensure security for all members of the alliance.
Last October, US President Donald Trump announced that Washington would withdraw from the INF treaty due to accusations that Russia was not complying with the document. The Kremlin immediately denied this accusation./.
