(Baonghean.vn)- Located on a high mountain top, Huoi Giang 1 village, Tay Son (Ky Son) is home to the Mong people. The people here preserve unique customs that are imbued with national identity.
Huoi Giang 1 village is located about 3km from the commune center, over 10km from the district center, with an altitude of over 1,300m above sea level. The weather conditions here are different, the temperature is lower than other communes in the region. Residents in this high and steep mountainous area have unique characteristics in their lives and activities.

Most of the houses in Huoi Giang 1 are roofed with sa mu wood - a typical feature of Mong residential architecture. However, nowadays, the number of Mong villages that still retain sa mu wood roofs like Huoi Giang 1 is not much. |
