The players of Than Quang Ninh have unanimously declared that if the team's Board of Directors does not fully pay their outstanding salaries, bonuses, and signing-on fees, they will not compete in round 9 of phase 1.V.League 2021, unilaterally terminate the employment contract and sue in court.

In terms of scores, if Than Quang Ninh withdraws from the tournament,SLNAis one of the two teams that suffered the most, besides SHB Da Nang. Because up to this point, after 8 rounds in phase 1 of V.League 2021, only SLNA and SHB Da Nang have defeated the team from the Mining land (SLNA and SHB Da Nang both won with a score of 1 - 0).
In case coach Hoang Tho and his team withdraw from the tournament, the results of all matches involving Than Quang Ninh will be canceled. Thus, SLNA and SHB Da Nang will lose 3 points, while the "defeated generals" of Than Quang Ninh such as Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City Club, Hai Phong, B.Binh Duong, and Saigon Club will not be affected.

Without the win against Than Quang Ninh, the Nghe team will have only 4 points left and will fall from 12th to last place on the rankings. At that time, the gap between SLNA and the 2 teams right above them, Saigon FC and Hong Linh Ha Tinh, will be 2 points.
However, if Than Quang Ninh withdraws from the tournament, SLNA will not be completely disadvantaged. Simply put, the "direct relegation slot" of V.League 2021 already has an "owner". The team from the Mining land will even be demoted to the Third Division (According to Clause 5, Article 12 of the Vietnam Professional Football Regulations; Clause 3, Article 69 of the VFF's Disciplinary Regulations).
