Russia hands over second pair of missile frigates to Vietnam
Interfax-AVN news agency quoted an informed source as saying that the second pair of missile frigates of Project 1241.8 has been handed over to the Vietnam Navy by this country.

The HQ-379 and HQ-380 ships were built at a Vietnamese shipyard under the project of the Almaz Central Marine Engineering Bureau.
These frigates are equipped with the Uran-E missile complex, capable of destroying targets at a distance of up to 130km.
The first pair of missile frigates developed by Almaz was handed over to the Vietnam Navy in 2014, under a contract signed in 2009. In total, Vietnam is expected to receive six missile frigates of this type.
In addition to Project 1241.8 frigates, the Vietnamese Navy also received Project 636 submarines made in Russia, as well as Gepard-class frigates./.
