Russia warns of 'end of EU'
The EU's decision to push ahead with Ukraine's accession to the union will mean the end of the EU, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Glushko warned.
Mr. Alexander Glushko said that Ukraine is now "a country where fascist groups control the situation and fascist ideology prevails, which is completely incompatible with European values."

The EU has pushed ahead with moves for Ukraine to become a member after Russia launched a military campaign in Ukraine.
President Zelensky's government has submitted a questionnaire to Brussels on joining the union, while the European Commission plans to announce the plan in June.
Russia initially said it had no objection to Ukraine becoming part of the EU because, unlike NATO, the EU is not a military alliance. However, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov revealed on May 13 that Moscow had changed its stance on the issue.
Accordingly, Mr. Lavrov said that the EU's behavior in the conflict in Ukraine when transporting weapons to Kiev and promoting a military solution showed that the bloc was in the process of merging into NATO and in the future would only act at that level.
"The EU is transforming from a constructive economic union into an aggressive military actor with ambitions beyond Europe," Lavrov said.
