Russia accuses US of distorting Moscow's stance on Syria
Russia has accused the United States of deliberately distorting Moscow's position on Syria after US President Barack Obama criticized Russia for blocking a draft UN resolution on humanitarian aid in Syria.
In an online comment, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said that the US side does not have reliable information about developments related to disarmament and humanitarian activities in Syria. Therefore, Washington should not distort Moscow's position on Syria.

Mr Lukashevich called on other countries, including the US, to find solutions to the humanitarian problems in Syria’s besieged cities. According to Mr Lukashevich, Syrians need to be helped with practical actions, not resolutions with condemnation and threats.
The draft UN resolution calls for sanctions against individuals and entities that hinder the delivery of humanitarian aid in Syria or cause harm to its citizens.
Russia said the document was far from reality and a "one-sided attempt" to blame the Syrian government for obstructing humanitarian aid, and announced that it could veto the draft resolution./.
