Within a day and night, border guards discovered three dozen bullets of various calibers that were being smuggled through the Armyansk and Perekop car checkpoints.
The first batch of ammunition was found in the car of a Ukrainian citizen traveling on the route Nhikolaev-Sevastopol.
"During the inspection of the foreign-made car, with the help of a scout dog, more than two dozen 9 and 12 mm bullets packed in plastic bags were discovered on the side of the luggage compartment, in the glove compartment and in the pocket of the front seats of the car," the statement said.
All of the above ammunition was confiscated and turned over to the investigation department.
