Russia has no plans to attack President Zelensky
(Baonghean.vn) - Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, affirmed at a meeting of the United Nations Security Council that Russia has no plans to attack Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to TASS news agency on March 9, at the meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Ukraine, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, said: "Do you think that if we really wanted to attack President Zelensky's convoy, we would not be able to do it? And try to answer it, as honestly as possible" - Ambassador Polyansky said.
The Russian diplomat pointed out, especially considering the fact that the Russian attack in Odessa targeted a naval drone factory, assembling them from components supplied by the UK.
"For us, this goal is much more important than President Zelensky going around the frontline, taking pictures in cities before the Russian army takes control. And if any of you hope to remove the Ukrainian leader in this way, then I can disappoint you: this is not part of our plan," the Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations asserted.
Earlier, on March 6, a Russian missile exploded in the port city of Odessa, near where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Mr. Polyansky said that Russia has more important tasks to solve, especially completing the goals of the special military campaign.
Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations also requested the United Nations Security Council to hold a meeting on Ukraine on March 22./.
