Russian President's press secretary D. Peskov declared that withdrawing troops from Ukraine before the end of this year is impossible.

“The Ukrainian side needs to take into account the realities that have developed over time. These realities are the result of the line and policies that the Ukrainian leadership and the current Ukrainian regime have pursued over the past 15, even 20 years. And these realities indicate that new entities have appeared in the Russian Federation and they have appeared as a result of the referendums that took place in these territories,” said the press secretary of the Russian President D. Peskov.

Mr. Peskov stressed that it is impossible to talk about resolving the situation in Ukraine without taking into account these new realities. He also said that restoring peaceful life in Donbass is an absolute priority for the Russian authorities. He stressed that large financial resources are being sent to the region. This is strictly controlled by all departments responsible for restoring Donbass.

This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President, commenting on the "three steps towards peace" proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He considered this proposal as "three steps to continue hostilities."

Previously, the Ukrainian leader called on G7 countries to support a peaceful solution for the country, including Russia withdrawing its troops from Christmas this year.

He proposed holding a global peace summit to discuss the 10-point peace plan drafted by Kiev. President Zelensky also called on the G7 to increase support for Ukraine in terms of military equipment, finance and energy stability. He called on countries to provide Kiev with an additional 2 billion m3 gas to get through this winter. In a phone call with US President Joe Biden on December 11, President Zelensky said that 50% of Ukraine's energy infrastructure had been destroyed./.
