Russia has no concerns about the US's $61 billion aid package for Ukraine
(Baonghean.vn) - Russian President Dmitry Peskov's spokesman said that Washington's $61 billion commitment to Kiev will make almost no difference on the battlefield.

According to RT, the US House of Representatives has approved a $95 billion foreign aid package, nearly two-thirds of which will be spent on Ukraine-related programs. However, the Kremlin does not appear to be worried at all.
“This will not fundamentally change the situation on the battlefield,” Mr. Peskov told reporters on April 22.
Pointing to Russia's steady advances on the front, Peskov said the dynamics of the conflict are now “absolutely clear to everyone” and the money and weapons the US will allocate to Ukraine “will not lead to a change in this dynamic.”
“They will lead to new casualties among Ukrainians, more Ukrainians will die, Ukraine will suffer great losses,” the Russian president’s spokesman said.
Moreover, he noted, the bulk of the aid money is supposed to stay in the US, one way or another. The White House itself has argued this to Congress to convince them, saying that the package is a stimulus for the US manufacturing base and military-industrial complex.
“In principle, nothing has changed,” Peskov said, noting that Russian President Vladimir Putin fully expected US lawmakers to vote the way they did.
Reacting to Saturday’s vote, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the US was using Ukrainians as “cannon fodder” and hoped to keep Kiev alive until after the presidential election in November.
Several Ukrainian officials told the Financial Times that the latest round of US aid may help slow the Russian advance but will not stop it. The newspaper noted that no amount of Western weapons and ammunition can solve Kiev’s biggest problem: a lack of manpower.
Kirill Budanov, head of Ukraine's military intelligence service, also predicted “a rather difficult situation” on the battlefield for the Kiev government in the coming months.
