Russia has not given up on the results of nearly 2 years of Ukraine's 'peace formula'
(Baonghean.vn) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the statehood of Ukraine will soon be questioned due to the failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. And the "peace formula" of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is hindering peace dialogue.

Speaking at a meeting with heads of Russian cities on January 16, President Vladimir Putin said that the counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces had failed. And if this continued, the statehood of Ukraine would be in doubt.
"Now not only has their counterattack failed, but the initiative is in the hands of the Russian Armed Forces. If this continues, the state of Ukraine will become an insurmountable problem, which can be dealt a very serious blow," Russian President Putin said.
The Russian leader stressed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's "peace formula" is the basis for prohibiting peaceful dialogue.
"In this negotiation process, there are attempts to encourage us to abandon the achievements that have been achieved over the past two years. But this is impossible. Everyone understands that it is impossible to do so," President Putin emphasized.
The Russian President reiterated that the Ukrainian side refused to negotiate, even though Moscow and Kiev had reached an agreement.
"A day later they threw all the agreements into the trash. Now the Ukrainian side is talking about it openly about this missed opportunity. And Kiev frankly admits that, if it had agreed to the agreement, everything would have been done almost two years ago," said President Putin.
Referring to the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on civilian targets in Russia, President Putin explained that this is how Kiev wants to demonstrate its "ability" to respond to Moscow's moves, as well as to divert public attention from failures on the front.
"Many people ask why the Kiev authorities do such things - shelling peaceful cities, populated areas, attacking squares. What is the military significance of this? There is none. So why do they do it? The answer is that they have to show the people and sponsors of Ukraine - who pay for weapons and ammunition - that Kiev can respond to Russia's military activities," the Russian leader explained.
Mr. Putin added that the Russian Armed Forces are carrying out targeted attacks on military infrastructure and enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. President Putin emphasized that Russia has always been on the defensive and will now defend its interests./.
