Russia wants to 'normalize' relations with the US
(Baonghean.vn) - After the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Lima, Peru, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is ready to improve relations with the US and President-elect Donald Trump.

Putin affirmed: “The US President-elect confirmed his willingness to normalize Russian-US relations. I told him the same thing.”
Putin said the time and place of the meeting with Trump had not been discussed. Putin and Trump have a good relationship, with Trump praising the Russian president during his successful election campaign. Russia also supported Trump during the US presidential election.
Putin also thanked incumbent US President Barack Obama “for many years of cooperation.” The Russian president said: “I said that we would be happy to welcome Obama to Russia at any time he wants.”
In the coming time, Putin said Russia is ready to freeze oil production at current levels, and affirmed that Russian oil companies are ready to do so ahead of the freeze agreement that OPEC countries are expected to agree with non-OPEC countries on November 30.
Putin affirmed: "We will do everything that our partners from OPEC expect. Freezing crude oil production is not a big problem for us."
