Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Analyzes Conditions for President Zelensky to Immediately Visit Russia
(Baonghean.vn) - Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said in an interview with the Russian newspaper Izvestia that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would immediately participate in peace talks in Moscow if Washington made such a decision.

Sharing in an interview with Izvestia (Russia), former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said: "For example, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called President Zelensky and suggested: "First, cancel the decree banning negotiations. Next, come to Washington so we can tell you what to do. Then, come to Moscow." And this will be done immediately by Kiev."
According to former Ukrainian Prime Minister Azarov, the Kiev government does not make decisions on its own. President Zelensky can only implement policies at "some levels". The US knows very well that the current government in Ukraine is not effective. Washington is investing huge amounts of money in the Kiev regime, but the results are "zero".
Mr. Azarov believes that Ukraine is completely dependent on the United States, and in fact, all decisions are made only after Washington's consent. Therefore, whether negotiations between Moscow and Kiev can begin or not depends largely on Washington. Moreover, in his opinion, President Volodymyr Zelensky did not eliminate the system of corruption that was created under former President Petro Poroshenko, but on the contrary, began to exploit it.
Former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov expressed his opinion that Ukraine cannot be a hostile country to Russia. Instead, it requires normalization of relations with Russia.
"In my opinion, political scientists studying this topic make a big mistake by calling any figure pro-Russian. Ukraine does not need pro-Russian politicians. Kiev needs pro-Ukrainian politicians who will act in the interests of the Ukrainian people. And these common interests require normalization of relations with Russia. Ukraine cannot be a hostile state to Russia.
From the point of view of Ukraine's existence as an independent state and pursuing policies in the interests of the Ukrainian people, there is no alternative to the policy of alliance with Russia," said former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
Regarding the speed of the counterattack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov assessed: "Look at the results. The Armed Forces promised to take control of Melitopol and cut off the land route to Crimea, but they did not do it. How far have they progressed in this matter? Yes, 10 kilometers. What other tasks did they set? Probably to defeat the Russian army. But where did they apply it?".
Mr. Azarov believes that Ukraine's counter-offensive campaign has failed. And all questions can only be answered by looking at the results that Kiev publicly talks about. /.
