Russia: Drunk man shoots dead OMON special forces soldier
An unidentified man opened fire in an apartment building in Kazan and killed one of the OMON special forces soldiers, the Interior Ministry said.

"The shooting took place in one of the apartment buildings on Avangardnaya Street in Kazan. A special operation to detain the attacker is underway at the scene of the incident," the source said. "One OMON soldier died in the hospital."
Two more injured people have been hospitalized. The Interior Ministry also noted that the Special Operation to detain the attacker is led by the Interior Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rafail Gilmanov.
