Russia successfully launched Soyuz TMA-16M manned spacecraft
Xinhua News Agency quoted local media sources as saying that on March 27, Russia successfully launched the Soyuz TMA-16M spacecraft carrying three astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).

The Soyuz-FG rocket with the Soyuz TMA-16M manned spacecraft lifted off from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan at 22:42 Moscow time (19:42 GMT), the news agency said.
The spacecraft is expected to dock with the ISS in six hours.
Among the three crew members, Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko and NASA astronaut Scott Kelly will join the one-year mission.
Another Russian cosmonaut, Gennady Padalka, who has participated in four ISS missions, is expected to stay on the ISS for six months, setting a new record of 878 days in space.
According to the plan, the astronauts will conduct about 50 scientific experiments, mainly in the medical field, and coordinate with Russia's Progress transport ship to supply the ISS./.
