Russia successfully test-launched an intercontinental missile from a nuclear submarine
According to Sputnik news agency, the Russian Defense Ministry's Press Information Department announced that on December 12, the country successfully test-launched the Sineva intercontinental ballistic missile from the Verkhoturye strategic nuclear submarine in the Barents Sea off the coast.

The missile launch took place while the submarine was submerged.
The Russian Defense Ministry's announcement stated: "The ballistic parameters of the Sineva intercontinental ballistic missile were stable. Objective control data confirmed that the missile's warheads reached the predetermined location at the Kura range on the Kamchatka peninsula."
The launch of the Sineva intercontinental ballistic missile was carried out within the framework of testing the reliability of the Russian Navy's strategic nuclear deterrence system./.
