Russia determined to achieve the goals of the special military operation; Ukrainian President worries about the possibility of being overthrown by 'Maidan 3'
(Baonghean.vn) - According to TASS news agency, the Kremlin spokesman said on November 21 that Russia's special military campaign continues and the country is determined to achieve its set goals.

Specifically, Mr. Dmitry Peskov - spokesman for the Russian President emphasized the importance of Moscow achieving the goals of the special military operation. Answering reporters' questions about how the Kremlin assessed the current situation in Ukraine, 10 years after the Maidan incident, he said: "We call it "Maidan", but in fact it is a coup, a coup by force, funded from abroad. Let's call things by their proper names. The fact that it was funded from abroad has been directly and indirectly recognized by representatives of other countries. This is an open secret".
At the same time, Mr. Peskov added: “For us, the main thing is to achieve our goals. To do that, the special operation continues.”
According to TASS, on November 21, 2013, the then Ukrainian government announced the suspension of the signing of an association agreement with the European Union. In response, the opposition in the Verkhovna Rada blocked the activities of the local parliament. A long protest took place on Independence Square in the center of the capital Kiev. During the three-month conflict, known as Euromaidan, some aggressive nationalists seized a number of administrative buildings in western Ukraine. In the center of Kiev, they set up tents and formed armed groups that clashed with the police.
In another development, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on November 21 accused Russia of planning a campaign he called Maidan 3 to overthrow him.
In an interview with The Sun, Mr Zelensky said: "The name of this operation is Maidan 3. It is to change the president. Maybe not by destroying. I mean changing. They will use whatever tools they have. That is the idea, from now until the end of the year."
This is the second time in less than a week that Mr Zelensky has told Western media that a third “Maidan” is being plotted against him, TASS reported. He previously said such information came from Ukrainian intelligence and Western allies at a meeting with foreign reporters on November 17.
