Russia is ready to participate in building Vietnam's nuclear power industry.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin affirmed that Russia cooperates with many countries in developing nuclear power and is ready to participate in building Vietnam's nuclear power industry.

On the afternoon of January 14, after the official welcoming ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishutin emphasized that the visit is an important occasion for the two governments to review the agreements reached between the two countries' senior leaders in recent times and to carry out specific tasks to develop bilateral cooperation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on his first official visit to Vietnam, kicking off the year celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The two Prime Ministers informed each other about the political, economic and social situation in each country; reviewed the results achieved in cooperation and exchanged in-depth opinions on the current situation, prospects and agreed on directions. The two sides also discussed international and regional issues of mutual concern.

The Russian Prime Minister expressed his impression of Vietnam's socio-economic achievements. Russia attaches importance to the comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam and considers Vietnam a leading partner in Southeast Asia.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam consistently implements a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralization, and always considers the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia as one of the top priorities. Vietnam wishes to work with Russia to promote security, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The two sides agreed to continue to strengthen dialogue, consolidate political trust, promote contacts and exchanges of delegations at all levels and through channels, creating a foundation for bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of economics - trade, investment, energy - oil and gas, education - training, culture, tourism, science - technology and local cooperation...

The two sides noted that trade turnover has achieved positive growth, however, there is still much room for exploitation; they agreed that there should be breakthrough solutions to increase the value of two-way trade, including effectively utilizing the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union, of which Russia is a member.

The two countries continue to study creating conditions to open the door for each other's goods such as agricultural products, pharmaceuticals...

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin affirmed the important role of the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee cooperation mechanism, acknowledging the positive contributions of ministries and branches...

The two Prime Ministers affirmed the importance of cooperation in the field of science and technology; and wished to continue cooperation in implementing the construction of the Nuclear Science and Technology Research Center in Vietnam.

Prime Minister Mishustin affirmed that Russia cooperates with many countries in developing nuclear power and is ready to participate in building Vietnam's nuclear power industry; proposed promoting cooperation in the fields of health, labor, and pharmaceuticals.

The two sides emphasized their desire to deepen cooperation in the humanities, recognized the importance of cooperation in education and training, enhanced teaching of Vietnamese in Russia and Russian in Vietnam, and promoted cooperation through the Vietnam-Russia Network of Technical Universities.

Russia continues to provide scholarships to train human resources for Vietnam in the fields of science, technology, arts, etc.

The two sides welcomed the promotion of people-to-people exchanges and expanded cooperation between localities of the two countries; agreed to regularly organize cultural exchanges and art performances, etc.

The two Prime Ministers also discussed measures to enhance tourism cooperation. The resumption of regular direct flights and charter flights between the two countries will help boost the number of tourists. The two sides agreed to cooperate in transport connectivity, including maritime, railway and urban transport.

The Vietnamese Government always cares about and will ensure favorable conditions for Russian citizens to live and study in Vietnam.
