Russia deploys attack aircraft and TOS-1A 'fire god' to launch a full-scale attack on Ukraine
A spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry said on April 11 that the country's forces deployed attack aircraft and TOS-1A "Solntsepek" thermobaric missile launchers to attack Ukrainian forces in the direction of Krasny Liman.
Speaking to Sputnik, the Russian Defense Ministry spokesman stated: "In the Krasny Liman direction, Russian air defense forces detected and destroyed unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Tactical-operational aviation conducted airstrikes, using high-explosive air-dropped bombs, on temporary deployment sites and ammunition depots of the enemy. Attack aircraft, using unguided missiles, attacked Ukrainian forces. TOS-1A 'Solntsepek' heavy flamethrower systems used thermobaric ammunition to fire at enemy positions, causing serious losses in manpower and equipment."

Ukraine has not yet responded to this statement. On the same day, Ukrainian Presidential Advisor Mykhailo Podolyak said that Ukraine needs more long-range weapons to deal with Russian attacks. In January 2023, Ukrainian officials urged the West to provide long-range missiles that can reach Russian territory. However, the US and Europe are still cautious about this request because of concerns about the risk of escalating the conflict./.
