Russia claims Iskander ballistic missile has no rivals
The Russian army commander said that countries will not be able to produce missiles with features equivalent to Iskander-M for many years to come.

"According to the designers, no other country in the world will be able to produce a rival to the Iskander-M tactical ballistic missile family before 2025,"TassMarch 7 quoted the statement of the Commander of the Russian Army, General Oleg Salyukov.
According to General Salyukov, Russian missile units are continuing to be equipped with the Iskander-M system in accordance with the national rearmament program.

Iskander-M is a single-stage solid-fuel missile equipped with a satellite guidance system. The missile is 7.2 m long, 0.95 m in diameter, has a launch weight of 3.8 tons, a 380 kg warhead, and a maximum range of 450-500 km. Iskander-M can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads.
With high precision and great destructive power, Iskander-M is considered to be able to help Russia create a great deterrent against any enemy weapons system.
