Some witnesses said that at that time, a small car with license plate 80 - NG 096.15 was parked in front of house number 140, Tran Phu Street, Vinh City, when the driver suddenly opened the door to get out. When the car door was opened, a man (about 45 years old) driving a motorbike with license plate 37F2 - 5433 traveling from Big C Vinh - Phuong Dong Hotel crashed into the car door, staggered and fell onto the road. At that moment, a truck with license plate 38N - 4591 (driver's identity unknown) came and ran over the head of the motorbike driver, causing him to die on the spot. After causing the accident, the truck driver and the small car fled the scene.
