The exhibition features 60 color photographs taken by French photographer Leon Busy 100 years ago, commissioned by financier Albert Kahn for the "Documents of the Planet" series, which is now part of the Albert Kahn Museum. This is one of the main events of the Vietnam Year in France and was exhibited in Hanoi during the France Year in Vietnam.
Speaking at the exhibition, Mr. Frédéric Ogée, Vice President of Paris 7 - Diderot University emphasized: the cooperative relationship with Vietnam is a great priority of the school and the coordination of this exhibition is a testament to that good cooperation.
Mr. Ogée said: "Our participation in this exhibition has a practical meaning rather than a symbolic one. For the past 5 years, Paris Diderot University has considered Vietnam as one of its major priority partners. This exhibition is an opportunity for us to strongly demonstrate our commitment to the overall France-Vietnam relationship."

Representative of Ile de France region, Mr. Michel Bock said: "The exhibition was successfully held in Hanoi and now comes to Paris. I want to emphasize that the cooperation between Ile de France region and Hanoi city is a symbol of friendship, tightening the relationship between the people of the two places. The exhibition helps us explore the image of Hanoi in the last century and contributes to strengthening that cooperative relationship."
Selected from 1,500 photos taken by photographer Leon Busy, the exhibition is divided into two themes: "Daily life - professions and society" and "Environment and faith". Through the talent of the photographer, the exhibition allows us to rediscover a vivid period in the past of the Vietnamese people 100 years ago.

The exhibition also surprised viewers with the photographer's perspective and the artistic quality of the photos, using the world's first color photography technique with Autochrome positive color film.
Guillaume, a Frenchman, said: "I was very moved to see these photos. They are interesting in both the images and the artistic quality. Moreover, it seems that the photographer not only paid attention to the photos but also had a scientific aspect because the photos help to explore quite comprehensively the architecture, landscape, people, occupations, life, and society in Hanoi 100 years ago."
