(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2012-2013, Saigon-Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) Nghe An branch awarded 40 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND.

Students who are considered for scholarships by Sacombank this time are grade 12 students with an average grade 11 academic result of over 7.0 points. This time, Sacombank awarded 5 scholarships to students from 8 high schools: Phan Boi Chau, Le Viet Thuat, Provincial Boarding School, Nguyen Truong To (Hung Nguyen), Nam Dan 2, Dien Chau 2, Dang Thai Mai and Phan Dang Luu (Yen Thanh), each school.

This is an annual activity of Sacombank to support poor students to excel in their studies. In the 2012-2013 school year, Sacombank spent more than 2.7 billion VND to award nearly 2,400 scholarships to students nationwide.
