The railway industry has just decided to reduce the long-distance train ticket prices by 2-15% for Thong Nhat SE1/2, SE5/6 trains, effective from now until September 5. The reason is that the number of passengers traveling during the September 2 holiday this year may decrease sharply compared to 2014.

In addition, Hanoi Railway Transport Company will reduce ticket prices for Thong Nhat passenger trains and trains on the North-South route for the period after Summer by 3-12%.

Mr. Nguyen Tung Anh, Director of Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company, said that the number of passengers at the company's inter-provincial bus stations will not increase much compared to normal days. The number of passengers may increase in the afternoon of September 1 and the morning of September 2.

The unit has not received any notification from any business about this issue. It is possible that ticket prices will remain the same as usual.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tat Thanh, Director of Giap Bat Bus Station, although the number of passengers may not increase dramatically during this time, the station will not be subjective. Next week, the bus station will have a meeting with relevant forces such as inspectors and police to ensure good political security, social order and safety, and will request the control department to resolutely not allow vehicles that do not meet the standards to depart the station; control each vehicle to prevent phenomena such as passengers getting on the bus without tickets, assistant drivers fighting for passengers, forcing passengers, and charging higher prices than the regulated price.

According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Deputy Director of My Dinh Bus Station Enterprise, the Enterprise has closely coordinated with the bus station police teams, My Dinh II Ward police, and Nam Tu Liem District police to develop a coordination plan to ensure security and order throughout the station.

In case of sudden increase in passenger volume, the Bus Station has a plan to announce solutions to reassure passengers, avoiding agitation leading to jostling and pushing, causing disorder in the station.

Previously, the Ministry of Transport issued a document requesting the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam, the Departments, Departments of Transport and the Vietnam Railway Corporation, Vietnam Airlines, and Vietnam Maritime Corporation to strengthen urgent solutions to organize and serve people's travel needs conveniently, ensuring traffic safety and social order during the activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2./.
