Nghe An Education Department honors 15 outstanding teachers and workers of non-public schools

Morning of April 25,Education Industry UnionOrganize the launching ceremony of Workers' Month, Action Month on occupational safety and hygiene and commend exemplary teachers and workers in non-public units following Uncle Ho's teachings, 2024.

Attending the program were comrades: Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training; Thai Minh Sy - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation.
Currently, the Education Trade Union is directly directing 26 non-public grassroots trade unions, including 17 high schools, 1 multi-level school, 1 joint stock company, 2 secondary schools and 2 foreign language centers.

Despite many difficulties, in recent years, non-public schools have made constant efforts, gradually stabilizing and becoming more organized, contributing to training and improving knowledge for school-age students.
Some schools have affirmed their training quality and have a graduation rate among the top high schools in the province such as Nguyen Truong To High School - Vinh, Hermann Gmeiner High School...

These are typical examples of the will to practice, constantly innovate, dare to think, dare to do, strive to set an example in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; actively participate in activities organized by grassroots and higher-level trade unions, have many contributions and dedications to the development of the industry and trade union organizations.

Among the teachers who were honored, there were many who overcame their fate, such as Ms. Le Thi Thanh Hien - teacher and President of the Labor Union of Duy Tan High School. Despite losing her husband early and raising two young children alone, one of whom was seriously ill, teacher Le Thi Thanh Hien still tried her best to both take care of her children and complete her duties well.
Besides, there is also Ms. Dang Thi Nga - Teacher, President of the Trade Union of Cu Chinh Lan High School, despite difficult circumstances and poor health, she always strives, tries hard, and completes her professional tasks well. For many consecutive years, she has been classified as a party member who has completed her tasks well, an advanced worker, and is an outstanding and exemplary member of the grassroots trade union.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh acknowledged the efforts of schools and teachers in non-public schools. Although each teacher and each worker has a different situation and position, over the past time, teachers and workers have all made efforts, devoted themselves, stayed with their schools and classes, and devoted themselves to their students.
In addition, the head of the education sector acknowledged the efforts of non-public schools. In recent years, although the State's investment in non-public schools has been modest, the schools have maintained stability, ensuring policies for teachers and workers and creating a vibrant emulation movement in schools. That has contributed to improving the quality of education.
The Director of the Department of Education and Training also shared the difficulties of non-public schools. Therefore, in the past time, the Department of Education and Training has always accompanied the schools and will continue to care, support, ensure policies, foster and improve professional capacity. Through this, the Director of the Department also requested the Education Trade Union and non-public schools to carefully study the Law on Teachers (under discussion) and related documents. On that basis, there are recommendations and proposals to ensure the rights and interests of the staff, teachers, and workers, especially in non-public schools.
In the coming time, the Education Trade Union also needs to direct grassroots trade unions to continue to do a good job of discovering, fostering, praising advanced models and replicating outstanding examples to have a strong influence in agencies and units.
From there, it contributes to promoting the role of cadres, union members and workers of the industry, especially in the context of implementing the 2018 General Education Program and Resolution 03 of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on education and training, striving to build the Education sector and the Education Trade Union organization to increasingly develop.

At the ceremony, the Education Trade Union also organized the launching ceremony of Workers' Month, the Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene and the emulation movement to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union. With the theme "Solidarity of cadres, teachers, workers - Implementing the Resolution", in 2024, the Education Trade Union set a goal that 100% of grassroots trade unions must have at least 1 practical activity to care for the interests of union members and workers in terms of material, spiritual, health and study.
On this occasion, the Education Trade Union will also organize the program "Go to the teachers' boarding house"; give gifts to teachers and 12th grade students studying for the high school graduation exam at some units in the industry; organize the program "Thank you to the workers" at Nghe An Books and Equipment Joint Stock Company; give gifts under the "godmother" program for orphaned students; visit and give gifts to teachers and workers with serious illnesses; Give gifts and put up the signboard of the "Union Kitchen" project at Cua Lo High School and Nguyen Sy Sach High School. In addition, grassroots trade unions continue to carry out well the emulation movement "90 days of determination to achieve high results in the 2024 high school graduation exam".
