Nghe An banking sector gives gifts and helps the poor celebrate Tet
(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the appeal letter of the Provincial Party Secretary, the banking sector in the province has allocated welfare funds, mobilized officials, civil servants and workers to contribute and help with money or necessities for Tet for the poor.
The total amount of money donated by the entire banking sector in the area through the campaign was nearly 18 billion VND. With the money raised, Nghe An banking sector established working groups, coordinated with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and districts to deliver gifts to the poor to celebrate Tet.
On January 27-28, leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam Nghe An branch and local banks directly presented 1,200 gifts, each worth VND500,000, in 8 communes of Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Quy Hop, and Quynh Luu districts. The total value of the gifts presented was VND600 million.

In Quynh Luu district, comrade Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and the delegation of the State Bank of Vietnam, Nghe An branch, came to present 100 gifts in Tien Thuy commune.

In Tuong Duong district, the head of the delegation was comrade Nguyen Loc Anh - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Nghe An province branch, Chairman of the Nghe An Banking Trade Union, and local banks presented 500 gifts to poor households in difficult circumstances in the communes of Nga My, Yen Tinh and Luong Minh.

On the same day, Mr. Doan Manh Ha - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Nghe An province branch and the delegation presented 600 gifts to poor people in 4 communes of 2 districts of Quy Hop and Que Phong (including Van Loi commune, Quy Hop district - a poor commune supported and helped by the State Bank of Nghe An branch as assigned by the Provincial People's Committee).

In the coming days, delegations of the banking sector will continue to present Tet gifts to communes in the area. Through these activities, the banking sector of Nghe An province has demonstrated its responsibility to society, joining hands with local authorities and sectors to support the poor, helping families facing many difficulties to have the opportunity to celebrate the Lunar New Year in a warm and joyful atmosphere, and to have more confidence in the policies of the Party and State towards the people.
