According to data provided by the Provincial Inspectorate, in the first 6 months of 2018, through the work of inspecting and appraising budget estimates, controlling revenue and expenditure, and investigating, prosecuting, and adjudicating sectors and levels in the province, a total value of violations of VND 135,283 billion (an increase of 20% over the same period in 2017) was discovered; VND 104,679 billion was handled, reaching 77.39%.
Specifically, the whole industry has carried out 137 administrative inspections at 401 units, including: 118 planned inspections and 19 unscheduled inspections. 75 inspections have been completed, of which 70 have issued conclusions. Currently, 62 inspections are in progress. Through inspections, 247 inspected units were found to have violated with the amount of violations and recommended handling of 21,611 billion VND, reaching 70.4% (of which 3,190 billion VND has been recovered to the budget; 15,219 billion VND has been handled; 12.09 billion VND has been reduced in settlement value, capital allocation and other handling). Through inspections, 5 organizations and 31 individuals with violations have been recommended for administrative handling, and 1 case has been transferred to the investigation agency.

Regarding specialized inspections, 708 inspections were conducted at 3,518 individuals and organizations; thereby, 1,034 decisions on administrative sanctions were issued against 836 individuals and 198 organizations with a total fine of VND 4,890 billion, mainly focusing on areas such as transportation, agriculture and rural development, construction, natural resources and environment, and information and communication.
Regarding public inspection, inspection of the responsibility of heads of law enforcement on inspection, complaints, denunciations and anti-corruption, the whole sector has conducted 38 inspections at 57 units. Thereby, 24 units were found to have violated; recommendations were made to review and draw lessons from 89 organizations and 339 individuals who violated in the performance of public duties (the main violations were handling assigned tasks behind schedule).
