Nghe An health sector meets with press agencies in early spring

(Baonghean.vn)- On the occasion of the beginning of the Year of the Horse and the 59th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, on February 13, Nghe An Health Department organized a meeting with central and local press agencies in Nghe An.

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial People's Council Office, the Department of Information and Communications, units under the industry, leaders of press agencies in Nghe An and resident reporters of central newspapers in the area.

Overview of the meeting.

In 2013, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, Nghe An health sector has made efforts to complete assigned tasks well. No major and complicated epidemics occurred, especially in conditions of frequent rain and floods; national programs and targets were achieved and exceeded; medical examination and treatment at hospitals and medical facilities were improved, quality was enhanced; many new techniques were applied in treatment such as kidney transplant surgery, bone marrow transplant, heart surgery, etc. The socialization of the health sector was carried out effectively, creating conditions for hospitals and private medical facilities to develop to meet the increasing needs of patients, etc.

In the overall success of the province's health sector, there is cooperation in many aspects and fields of press agencies.

At the meeting, representatives of press agencies hoped that the health sector would continue to innovate, rectify and develop further. In addition, agencies and units under the Department need to have a coordination mechanism with press agencies to promptly promote typical examples and new factors in the health sector, and resolve incidents related to the sector; the health sector should also consider opening writing contests on good examples in the health sector as a propaganda channel on the media and press.

Comrade Bui Dinh Long, Director of Nghe An Department of Health, thanked the press agencies for their support in the past time, and hoped that journalists would continue to research, discover, and promote good people and good deeds in the industry, and detect negative practices in a constructive spirit so that the province's health sector can develop further.

On this occasion, Nghe An Department of Health also awarded certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding achievements in propaganda work in 2013.
