During the last term, the total production value of Nghia Hieu commune reached 109 billion VND, reaching 113%; economic growth rate was 9.3%; average income per capita reached 35 million VND/year, the commune completed 19/19 criteria. The education and health sectors during the last term had positive changes, the quality of teaching and learning at all levels was improved. National health programs were focused on, health care for people was well implemented. Culture and society had many positive changes; social security was ensured; national defense and security were maintained... Party building work, leadership capacity, and fighting strength of the Party Committee continued to be improved. During the last term, 30 new party members were admitted, bringing the total number of party members in the entire Party Committee to 186 comrades.

The 5th Nghia Hieu Commune Party Congress also elected 15 comrades to the Party Executive Committee for the 2015-2020 term and elected a delegation to attend the 28th Nghia Dan District Party Congress.

During the last term, the average economic growth rate of the commune reached 16%. The average income per capita reached 24.7 million VND/year, an increase of more than 2.2 times compared to the beginning of the term. Up to now, the commune has achieved 19/19 NTM criteria. The commune has 15/16 hamlets, 5 units, and 1 clan achieving the cultural title. The Party Committee has admitted 33 new party members, achieving "Clean and strong", "Typical clean and strong" for 5 consecutive years.

Entering the new term, the Party Committee set 35 targets in various fields, focusing on developing agricultural economy towards goods, trade and services, and building cultural life in residential areas. Average income per capita is 48-50 million VND/year, 80-90% of families achieve the title of cultural family, striving to recruit 50 party members.
