December 17, 1096:Zen Master Man Giac's birth date, real name Ly Truong, was born in 1052. He understood both Confucianism and Buddhism, so at the age of 20 he was chosen to teach the Prince. Shortly after, he became a monk and received the heart seal from Master Quang Tri, continuing the 8th generation of the Quan Bich Zen lineage, with many students.

December 17, 1923:The day of the death of patriot Tran Xuan Soan, he was born in 1849, his hometown was Thanh Hoa. In 1885, the capital city of Hue fell, he and the high-ranking mandarin Ton That Thuyet took King Ham Nghi to Ha Tinh, then returned to Thanh Hoa to direct the resistance. When the insurgent army weakened, he went to China, met with Ton That Thuyet in Long Chau to organize troops to operate at the border.
