(Baonghean.vn) - On April 18 and 19, Hung Tien Party Committee (Hung Nguyen) held the 28th congress of delegates for the 2015-2020 term.

During the last term, Hung Tien commune's total production value reached more than 71 billion VND; economic growth rate was 8.41%; average economic growth rate was 8.2%; average income per capita was 25 million VND/year; budget revenue was 27 billion VND; total construction investment in the area reached 55.6 billion VND. Social culture has made much progress, 2 schools and medical stations maintained the national standard title, 7/7 villages maintained the title of cultural village, was the first commune of Hung Nguyen to be recognized as a cultural commune, 85% of households were recognized as cultural families; the poverty rate was only 4%; education work was given attention; national defense and security were maintained. In 2014, Hung Tien was recognized as meeting new rural standards.

Regarding Party building work, Hung Tien regularly does a good job of political and ideological education. In 5 years, it has admitted 16 new party members, bringing the total number of party members in the entire Party Committee to 193 comrades. The Party Committee has achieved clean and strong status for 5 years, of which 3 years have achieved exemplary clean and strong status.

The Congress discussed and agreed on the tasks and targets for 2020: Average income per capita of 50 million VND/year; average annual economic growth rate of 10%; rate of cultural families of 90%; building primary schools and kindergartens that meet national standards of level 2; striving for 100% of hamlets and schools to meet the standards of "safety in security and order"; 70% of Party cells to achieve the title of clean and strong Party cell; Party Committee strives to be a typical clean and strong Party Committee throughout the term. 30 new Party members were admitted.

The economic growth rate is not stable, the economic structure is shifting slowly, the proportion of agriculture is still high, and the activities of cooperatives have not been renewed.

Overview of the congress

During the last term, the commune's economic growth rate averaged 7.5% per year. Rice output in 2010 reached 1,751 tons, and in 2014 reached 2,087 tons, achieving the target set by the Congress Resolution. Resources were mobilized to build infrastructure for the new rural areas.
