December 27, 1944:Only 5 days after the establishment of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army (the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army), the team launched the first issue of the Newspaper Tieng Gun Roi. This was the first newspaper of the People's Armed Forces and a newspaper in the revolutionary press system.

December 27, 2008:Inauguration of Ca Mau 1 and 2 power plants. After completion and commercial operation, by October 29, 2021, Ca Mau 1 and 2 power plants have produced 100 billion kWh of electricity, contributing an important source of electricity to the national power system and contributing to the economic development of the provinces in the Mekong Delta region.
