December 27, 1944:Only 5 days after the establishment of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army (the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army), the team launched the first issue of the Newspaper Tieng Gun Roi. This was the first newspaper of the People's Armed Forces and a newspaper in the revolutionary press system.

December 27, 2008:Inauguration of Ca Mau 1 and 2 power plants.
