After a period of periodic restoration, it is expected that from November 5, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board will open the Mausoleum to serve the people and international visitors.

On the afternoon of November 3, in Hanoi, Politburo member - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a working session with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board on the results of the implementation of the periodic restoration task of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in 2015.

Based on the 2015 Work Plan, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board has organized periodic renovation and maintenance of the Mausoleum from September 5 to November 4, 2015.

After more than 2 months of implementation, Uncle Ho's body was preserved in the best condition, the machinery and equipment system of the Mausoleum operated safely and reliably, the architectural landscape and environment were spacious, clean and beautiful, suitable for the architecture of the area.

The unit has organized the cleaning of the Mausoleum, the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs, and the areas and is ready to open the Mausoleum to welcome and serve international visitors to visit Uncle Ho and commemorate the Heroes and Martyrs as planned.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc commended and highly appreciated the achievements of the staff, workers and soldiers of the Mausoleum Management Board in the periodic restoration of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in 2015.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Mausoleum Management Board to continue implementing the content of the Project “Long-term preservation and absolute safety protection of President Ho Chi Minh’s body in the new period”, to renovate the architecture of the Mausoleum area and Ba Dinh Square; strictly maintain combat readiness regulations; coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi city to ensure security and safety of the Mausoleum area, the National Assembly, Ba Dinh Square and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs. In addition, the Mausoleum Management Board needs to study and propose a plan and schedule for periodic renovations in 2016 to create the most favorable conditions for people to visit Uncle Ho.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc gave his opinion on a number of recommendations of the Mausoleum Management Board and assigned ministries and branches to promptly study and organize implementation according to plan.

It is expected that from November 5, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board will open the mausoleum to serve the people and international visitors to visit President Ho Chi Minh and commemorate the heroic martyrs./.
