Great Unity Day at Hamlet 7A (Nam Thanh - Nam Dan)

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 15, on the occasion of the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2014), Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Director of the Provincial Police Department attended, met and shared joy with the people of Hamlet 7A (Nam Thanh Commune - Nam Dan).

Hamlet 7A (Nam Thanh Commune - Nam Dan) has 198 households and 720 people. The hamlet was recognized as a cultural hamlet in 1998. In 2014, the hamlet was awarded a certificate of merit "Cultural hamlet block in residential area" by the Provincial and District Fatherland Front Committees.

Many people from hamlet 7A (Nam Thanh - Nam Dan) attended the festival.

Mr. Nguyen Van Son - Secretary, hamlet chief, head of the hamlet front work committee said "Hamlet 7A has had 400 meters of asphalt road since 2004. Currently, the hamlet's economy basically depends on agriculture with 49.8 hectares of rice, with an average yield of 57.8 tons/ha". In the new rural construction movement, the hamlet has done a good job of sanitation works, gaining the trust and enthusiasm of the people. Currently, the hamlet has a comprehensive livestock farm, with national grid electricity since 1982. The average income is estimated at 21.5 million VND/person/year. The winter-spring rice crop yield is 61.2 quintals/crop, the summer-autumn crop yield is 57 quintals/ha.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Cung - Chairman of the Commune People's Committee announced: Nam Thanh Commune has 2,130 households/8,300 people. Nam Thanh has 126 farms, 11 of which have been recognized by the state. The commune has 27 cars, including 5 passenger cars. There are 926 hectares of rice cultivation. Of which, rice has 380 hectares, the rest is rice and other crops. The commune also has 16km of inter-village roads, 3km of hamlet roads, 3 levels of schools that have met standards. The primary school and kindergarten have met national standards in phase 1. Hamlet 7A also has 2 clusters of schools, of which the secondary school was established in 1965, the primary school with 18 spacious and clean classrooms was put into use from the 2014-2015 school year.

Speaking at the "Great National Unity" festival, Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam hoped that the people of Hamlet 7A would continue to carry out well the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", associated with the emulation movement to join hands to build new rural areas, taking care of the cause of great national unity. Encourage all classes of people in the residential area to unite and promote democracy and discipline, everyone to live and work according to the Constitution and the law, according to the community covenant, and well implement the grassroots democracy regulations. Propagandize the policies, laws of the Party and the State, prevent crimes, social evils, and build a movement for all people to protect national security.

On this occasion, 5 poor households of hamlet 7A received gifts from provincial leaders, and at the same time, district leaders announced 5 families that have achieved cultural family status for 3 consecutive years.
