Family Day: A place to preserve cultural values
With the communication message “Family is the place to preserve and maintain the good traditional cultural values of the nation,” Vietnam Family Day 2012 will take place from June 26-28 at the Cultural and Art Exhibition Center No. 2 Hoa Lu, Hanoi.
Head of the Family Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Ms. Tran Tuyet Anh said that the highlights of the three-day festival will be the contest “The role of women in building a prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family;” the discussion “The role of young people in building families in the period of industrialization and modernization of the country” and the program “Meeting and honoring exemplary young families in 2012.”

In addition, during the three days of the festival, many cultural activities were also organized such as: the exhibition "Family Nest", the entertainment area "Connecting love for Vietnamese families", and the area displaying products and services that are loved and voted by families.
The elderly can participate in many meaningful activities such as: family health care consultation seminars, physical exercise performances, lullaby singing, and longevity celebrations for elderly veterans who fought at the Quang Tri front in 1972.
Ms. Tuyet Anh emphasized that the activities within the framework of this festival are even more meaningful when the strategy for developing Vietnamese families to 2020 with a vision to 2030 has just been approved by the Prime Minister with the goal of building prosperous, progressive and happy Vietnamese families.
Not only that, the series of activities during the festival also contribute to honoring the profound human values of Vietnamese families; promoting family work, encouraging and promoting good family traditions...
Vietnam Family Day 2012 promises to be a space for cultural, artistic and intellectual exchange for all audiences, from children to the elderly. In addition, young people will have the opportunity to learn and interact with outstanding young families who have achieved high achievements in training, production, business, research, study, etc.
