(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 19, Nghe An Publishing House organized the 2014 Book Festival. This is an activity in response to Vietnam Book Day on April 21 (according to Decision 284 dated February 24, 2014 of the Prime Minister). Attending the festival were representatives of leaders of relevant departments and agencies along with many authors, collaborators and readers in the province.
The purpose of the Festival is to encourage and develop the reading movement in the community, raise people's awareness of the great significance and importance of reading; Honor the value of books, affirm the role and importance of books in social life; Honor readers and those who participate in collecting, composing, publishing, printing, distributing, preserving and promoting books.

The 2014 Book Festival organized by Nghe An Publishing House took place over 3 days (from April 19-21, 2014), opening hours from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, with many useful activities, such as: Introducing and promoting typical books; giving books to authors, collaborators and readers; giving books to districts, communes, border posts, district, city and town libraries; Exchanges between authors and readers.

On the occasion of Vietnam Book Day, Nghe An Publishing House presented 21 urban and district libraries and 21 border posts with many valuable books; In April, the publishing house also sent books from the National Target Program to 976 commune cultural post offices and 318 border posts nationwide.
