National Military Service Day 2019 takes place over 3 days
Localities across the country are ready for the military enlistment festival taking place over 3 days from February 20-22, contributing to fulfilling the target and ensuring the quality of military enlistment.

Accordingly, on February 20, 43 provinces and cities will organize military enlistment ceremonies, including Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang; Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong...
On February 21, the military handover ceremony took place in 12 provinces and cities including Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Long An, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong and Ho Chi Minh City.
Eight provinces held Military Service Day on February 22, including Lang Son, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, and Son La.
Implementing the plan and task of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2019, localities across the country have actively, synchronously and effectively deployed each stage and step in the military recruitment process, contributing to the successful completion of targets and ensuring the quality of military service.
Up to now, most localities have completed preparations so that the Military Service Day can be held joyfully and meaningfully; the military enlistment ceremony can be ensured to be quick and safe.
The selection and calling of citizens from wards, agencies and units in the area to join the army is required to be carried out publicly, democratically, fairly, legally, ensuring high quality of troops. All new recruits must meet the standards of political qualities, cultural level, health, and be eligible to join the army to protect the Fatherland.
To successfully complete the military recruitment work, the Military Commands of districts, towns and cities proactively do a good job of advising the local Party Committees, authorities and Military Service Councils at the same level, establishing the Recruitment Examination Council; coordinating with the health sector to organize training for commune-level health station staff and staff of the Recruitment Examination Council; organizing selection, conducting preliminary examinations in communes, wards and towns; focusing on recruitment examinations at the district level.
In the process of recruiting citizens for military service, localities pay attention to regularly implementing military rear policies, especially for young people preparing to join the army and soldiers completing their military service; linking military recruitment with creating a source of grassroots cadres for localities.
The units receiving the troops proactively coordinate closely with the localities sending the troops; do a good job of preparing all aspects for receiving and training new soldiers such as organizing a sufficient training framework from squad to battalion level, the framework cadres must be trained, and be fully trained in the contents related to training new soldiers.
Units prepare to ensure good facilities for learning and training, model teaching aids, training grounds, training grounds, and barracks; ensure good material and spiritual life for soldiers from the first day they arrive at the unit.
