Cao Veu Village Cultural Festival (Anh Son District)
(Baonghean.vn) -On November 17 and 18, at Cao Veu village, the Border Cultural Festival took place with activities such as volleyball, throwing con, pushing sticks, crossbow shooting, cultural exchange, Lam Vong dance, and drinking Can wine.
The festival was attended by the Department of Culture and Information, the District Cultural and Sports Center, the People's Committee of Phuc Son commune, Border Guard Station 557 and many people of Cao Veu village.
Ms. Vo Thi Hong Lam - Chairman of Anh Son District People's Committee beat the drum to open the festival.
The Border Cultural Festival in Anh Son was first organized as a cultural activity to preserve and promote the ethnic identity of the border area, participate in artistic and sports activities, enhance the enjoyment of spiritual culture, strengthen solidarity, and jointly build a developed, prosperous, and civilized village, contributing to maintaining border security. This is also an opportunity for people to review the glorious past of their village in the struggles to protect sovereignty and peace in the border.

Today, the lives of the people in Cao Veu village are getting better and better. Health care and education are being paid attention to. The government has invested in building asphalt roads from the town to the village. There is a bridge across the Giang River. Every house has access to the national grid. The people's living standards have been significantly improved.
The border cultural festival with the "Xap" and "Nhoon" melodies, the "khen" and "pi" sounds, the "khac luong" pestle sounds and traditional sports revived the traditional identity left by our ancestors.
