October 22, 1117:Imperial Concubine Y Lan passed away. Her real name was Le Thi Yen, from Tho Loi village, now Duong Xa commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi. As a studious and intelligent woman, she was admired by the court for her profound knowledge in many fields and her talent in governing the country.

October 22, 1879:Mr. Nguyen Mau Kien passed away. He was born in 1819 in Thai Binh province, passed the doctoral exam and became an official with the rank of Trung Nghi Dai Phu. When the French colonialists invaded our country, he sided with the faction advocating fighting against the French army to protect the country, and submitted a petition to the king denouncing the crimes of the officials who surrendered to the enemy. Therefore, he was dismissed from his position. After 1874, Nguyen Mau Kien recruited soldiers and prepared for an uprising in Hung Hoa, but fell ill and died halfway through.
