Nghe An: 17 people detected violating alcohol and drug levels while driving in one day

On March 15, 2021, the Traffic Police of Nghe An Province organized 90 patrols, with 316 officers participating. Accordingly, 846 vehicles were stopped and 282 violations were detected.

In which, alonealcohol violation16 cases (15 motorbikes, 1 car), 1 case of drug violation (1 motorbike). The authorities decided to fine 51.5 million VND, temporarily detain 17 vehicles, and revoke the driving license of 17 cases.

Also through patrolling and controlling, using professional measures, the Traffic Police force discovered and arrested 2 cases, 2 subjects, seized 85 kg of dirty food and 24 cooling fans without documents proving their origin.

According to the representative of the Traffic Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police), this plan will be implemented from March 15 to December 31, 2021; focusing on main traffic routes in urban areas, expressways, key national highways, passenger and cargo transport routes, routes with frequent traffic accidents; areas near vehicle departure points, bus stations, ports, warehouses, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, eateries, areas with complicated security, order, drugs, etc.

The focus of the campaign is to proactively prevent, detect, stop and strictly handle violations by drivers with drugs in their bodies, alcohol violations and other violations of the law; assess the current situation of drivers using drugs and violating the law.alcohol concentrationand other stimulants, contributing to controlling and reducing traffic accidents, especially accidents directly caused by violations of alcohol and drug concentrations. In particular, focusing on motorbikes, cars, passenger cars, trucks, container trucks, cars pulling trailers or semi-trailers.
