Nghe An: 240 billion VND to develop one product per commune
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 26, the Provincial People's Committee continued to hold its regular February meeting to consider and give opinions on a number of important issues such as building one product per commune, regulating rural water prices, urban water prices, etc.
Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference.
According to the project "One commune one product in Nghe An province, period 2019 - 2020, orientation to 2030",Currently, the province has 182 advantageous agricultural products in the fields of forestry, aquaculture, cultivation, livestock, and services, belonging to 6 product groups: food (121 products), beverages (15 products), herbs (13 products); fabrics and garments (11 products), souvenirs - interior - decoration (16 products), rural tourism services (6 products).
However, only 49 products have registered or announced quality standards (accounting for 26.9%); 32 products have registered for intellectual property protection (accounting for 17.6%).

The specific objectives of the project to build one product per commune in Nghe An in the period of 2019 - 2020 are to build a synchronous management and operation system for the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program from the province to the district and commune levels; Issue and apply synchronous policies to effectively implement OCOP in the province; Standardize at least 50% of existing products (equivalent to about 90 products), focusing on key, typical and potential products of the province; Develop 2 - 3 community eco-tourism villages, combining the preservation of cultural values to create tourism products and services participating in OCOP; Develop at least 3 5-star products (for export)... The provincial budget is expected to allocate about 240 billion VND for the program.
Comrade Nguyen Van Lap - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said: Nghe An's local products are very large, when implementing the project, it will create a fund of key products, better exports, contributing to building a more sustainable new countryside.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that, among the solutions, propaganda work on OCOP is identified as important, so localities need to actively implement propaganda activities to raise public awareness of the OCOP program.

Regarding this issue, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that this is an economic development program that is not only suitable for the reality of economic development in rural areas but also in urban areas, therefore, the implementation of the Program is not only limited to rural areas, in communes that have reached the NTM finish line.
Concluding this content, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy said that the One Commune One Product Program is a very correct policy of the Central Government, aiming to diversify products, develop sustainable rural economy, develop community tourism, improve people's lives, and build sustainable new rural areas.
Regarding the project to implement the province's program, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the sectors need to coordinate to exploit more international capital sources for better implementation. In addition to budget capital, it is necessary to mobilize more capital from the community and credit capital.
The Provincial People's Committee also unanimously approved the proposal of the Department of Finance to issue a Decision on regulating the consumption price of domestic water products in rural areas in Nghe An province; approved the proposal to issue a Decision on regulating the land price adjustment coefficient in 2019 in Nghe An.
