Nghe An: 3 months revoked 27 driving licenses, cut the boxes of 15 overloaded vehicles
(Baonghean.vn) - In addition to having their driving licenses revoked, some violating vehicles also had their trunks cut off and were fined for violations in transporting passengers and goods.
According to the report of the Inspectorate of Nghe An Department of Transport, in the first 3 months of 2018, the Inspectorate of the Department inspected and handled 357 cases of violations in road and inland waterway traffic activities; issued 334 decisions on administrative sanctions, collected 942,700,000 VND to the State Treasury; revoked driving licenses of 27 cases, and cut into boxes 15 violating vehicles.

Specifically,on freight operations,202 cases were handled, including: installing the wrong size of the vehicle body: 15 cases; carrying oversized or overloaded goods: 92 casescase; no transport badge:41case; cargo spilled on the road: 28cases; traffic violations: 26 cases.
Aboutpassenger transport activities,132 cases were handled, including: stopping, parking to pick up and drop off passengers, entering prohibited roads: 74 cases; running on the wrong transport route: 22 cases; contract vehicles selling tickets to passengers, not having a transport contract, carrying people whose names are not on the passenger list, not informing the Department of Transport of the contract: 5 cases; transporting goods in the passenger compartment: 25 cases; passenger vehicles charging higher fares than prescribed: 3 cases...
To rectify violations in the field of passenger and freight transport, the Department of Transport Inspectorate requires regional Transport Inspection Teams to focus on strictly handling violations such as: stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations; driving on the wrong route or schedule; not having a transport badge; transporting goods in the passenger compartment; removing seats and beds to transport goods; carrying more people than the prescribed number; not strictly implementing vehicle registration and listing; phenomena of "illegal vehicles", "disguised contract vehicles", "illegal stations, illegal stations"...
Strengthen inspection and strictly handle freight vehicles that violate road traffic laws such as: transporting oversized goods, overloading, spilling goods, and violating the size of the cargo box.
