Nghe An: Seized 2.5 tons of candy and snacks of unknown origin

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 6, Quynh Luu District Police said that the unit had just discovered and seized 2.5 tons of candy and snacks of unknown origin.

Accordingly, at around 7:30 p.m. on May 3, upon receiving information from residents that the business premises of Mr. Ho Tan Kien (born in 1972, residing in Hamlet 8, Quynh Ba Commune) was selling many poor quality goods that did not ensure hygiene and food safety, Quynh Luu District police conducted an inspection.

Through inspection, it was discovered that Mr. Kien's family's warehouse contained 2.5 tons of candy and snacks of unknown origin and without valid documents.

Through testimony, Mr. Kien said that all of the above goods were purchased from cars traveling from Hanoi to Nghe An. Then distributed and resold to agents in mountainous districts in and outside the province.

Quynh Luu District Police confiscated the shipment and made a record of administrative handling against Mr. Ho Tan Kien in accordance with the provisions of law./.
