Nghe An arrests man smuggling 64 thousand medical masks abroad
(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Ba Tuan was transporting over 64,000 medical masks and 1,686 bottles of hand sanitizer from Vietnam to the other side of the border to earn money when he was discovered and arrested by Nghe An Border Guard.
At 4:00 p.m. on March 20, at the exit gate area for goods and vehicles, the border control force, Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) discovered a car with Lao license plate UN 0095 (Lao license plate) transporting goods without legal invoices and documents.

During the inspection, 64,500 medical masks and 1,686 bottles of antibacterial hand sanitizer were found hidden among the goods transported on the car.
TThe driver of the car is Nguyen Ba Tuan, born in 1982, with permanent residence in Thach Thanh commune, Thach Ha, Ha Tinh.
Through investigation, driver Tuan confessed to transporting the above goods from Vietnam across the border for a person named Nguyet, not knowing the number of masks and disinfectants mixed in the goods.

Currently, the Nghe An Border Guard Command has directed the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station to complete the dossier and process it according to the law./.
