Nghe An urgently arrested an official of the Ethnic Committee related to the O Du ethnic development project.
(Baonghean.vn) - On July 21, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Kim Van Bon, an officer of the Policy Department, Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An Province, for 4 months.
Mr. Kim Van Bon (born in 1982), residing at Golden City 6 Apartment, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City, Nghe An Province, was prosecuted to investigate the act of embezzlement of property.

According to the initial investigation results, during the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Project for the O Du ethnic group in Vang Mon village, Nga My commune, Tuong Duong district, Mr. Kim Van Bon, an officer of the Policy Department, Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province, took advantage of his position and authority to create fake documents to withdraw money from the project.

The investigation agency determined that the amount of money Mr. Bon embezzled was up to hundreds of millions of dong, causing especially serious damage to state assets.

During the search, the authorities seized a number of related papers and documents.
The case is currently being further investigated and clarified by the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province.
